USA Gluten-Free Market Surpasses European Marketplace

A new report from Frost & Sullivan finds that the United States has become the world’s largest gluten-free marketplace and that the gluten-free category has surpassed the lactose-free product offerings.

While it’s fabulous that products are constantly getting better and there are more gluten-free products than ever on the shelves, industry experts warn that education about Celiac Disease and the health benefits offered by gluten-free products are needed in order to sustain growth.

People are always willing to try a new diet “fad” but eating gluten-free isn’t about trying a fad it’s about the significant health benefits that accompany following the diet.
